After Biscuit Club Production's one-off performance of L. Du Garde Peach's The Spinsters of Lavender Lane at the Etcetera Theatre, where I switched roles to play the not-so-prudent Prudence Summerday, we were delighted by a visit from theatre critics Views From The Gods, who had some very lovely things to say about the show!
The full review can be read here, but I've taken some snippets below:
"It's always nice to be blindsided by a show that makes you put your pad down and just soak it up. A show that is that most dirty of words to us. A show that's simply fun."
"The ensemble are great to a fault, with Lester's jittery but lusty maid having a few hints at Miranda Hart, but in a good way. Her interplay with a crisp Robson - who can turn from dowdy to sexy on a dime - is certainly a highlight, but each actress brings something new and distinct. It's a zippy piece, with a wonderful "What did I just watch?" ending."
