I am excited to announce my involvement with theatre company Blackshaw on a couple of upcoming projects.
The first is a new-writing night that they hold several times a year to showcase new work and gain valuable audience feedback. I shall be playing Maia in Zombie Play by Nick Cheeseman on Tuesday 25th March at 7.30pm, at the Horse and Stables, 124 Westminster Bridge Road, SE1 7RW.
"ZOMBIE PLAY follows the deterioration of one house during a zombie apocalypse. From the fates of its original owners, to the various survivors that take refuge in it, we follow the story of what happens when the world ends and begins again, asking questions about fate, regeneration and the meaning of home in changing times, along with our obsession with the undead and the horrors of the breakdown of society." - Nick Cheeseman
This is a great opportunity to discover new playwrights and help them develop their work. Tickets are only £4 so please do come along and show your support! The Facebook event with further details can be found here.
The second project I am delighted to announce is that I have been cast as The March Hare/The Dormouse in Blackshaw's production of Alice In Wonderland by Richard Stratton as part of the Wandsworth Arts Festival & Fringe. It runs on weekends in May at the Selkirk Pub, Tooting, as part of a double bill with Character by Florence Vincent.
Alice has lost her cat, but when her search leads her to a stuffy little junk shop, Alice discovers more than she could ever imagine. Join Alice as her world is turned upside down in this new adaptation of Lewis Carroll’s classic tale.
